Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of another fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey in the form of an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via one-sided decision. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007, and a medal of bronze in 2008, and the gold medal in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champ in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in by ringing in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012, in the lightweight division of Lion Fight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's latest fight came against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight back in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the second-round TKO fight. She also won the following two matches in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. She was able to record her having a record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a short break from MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return in a fight against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision, before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities through a clinch using knees to body. Following this victory Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina did her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the evening bonus in the fight. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn Cookagian, but she won Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
